Game Overview

Core Gameplay Loop

The core loop of My Fishing Brainrots involves hatching "Brainrots" (units) that automatically fish for you. You collect these fish, sell them for cash, and use that money to expand your base and upgrade your collection.

  1. Hatch Eggs: Purchase eggs from the conveyor belt to get your first Brainrots
  2. Auto-Fishing: Once placed, your Brainrots will automatically fish. The fish are collected in a Fish Box at your plot
  3. Selling: Click/pick up the Fish Box and sell it at the designated sell area to earn money
  4. Upgrading: Use cash to level up your Brainrots and improve your base
  5. Rebirth: Reset progress for permanent multipliers and unlock new floors

Getting Started

Your Area

When you load in, you start with a single-story plot. As you progress, you can add more floors (up to 3 stories and beyond). Rebirthing is the primary way to unlock upper floors for your base.

Hatching Eggs

Purchase eggs from the conveyor belt to get your first Brainrots. Start with $100 and buy the Tumong Sahood egg. Different eggs have varying prices and luck-based outcomes. You can upgrade the conveyor belt to improve your luck for better eggs.

Auto-Fishing

Once placed, your Brainrots will automatically fish. The fish are collected in a Fish Box at your plot. Your brainrots continue fishing and generating money even when you're not playing (offline earnings).

Selling

Click/pick up the Fish Box and sell it at the designated sell area (Unboxing Marketplace) to earn money. This is your primary source of income.

Key Systems & Locations

The Index

Check your Index to see which fish you've discovered. The game tracks your progress through two main indexes:

  • Brainrot Index: Shows all the units you've collected, including Robux-exclusive units
  • Fish Index: Displays the various types of fish your units have caught (Salmon, Jellyfish, Seahorse, etc.). Collecting sets grants permanent rewards, such as a 5% Cash Bonus

Festive/Event Shop

Use event currency (like Candy Canes) to buy exclusive items and units. You can purchase Double Luck boosts and Cash Multipliers using Candy Canes earned by selling fish during events.

Daily Spin

Located near the Festive Shop. You get a free spin every few hours for rewards like cash boosts. The Festive Spin Wheel is the only way to get some of the rarest holiday units like The Grinch.

Exclusive Shop

Provides "Pay-to-Win" options or items purchasable with Robux. The Starter Pack (14 Robux) is highly recommended as it provides an "Epic" unit that earns $3,000 per fish right from the start.

Food Merchant & Giant Brainrot

Once you have $10 million, unlock the Giant Brainrot. Buy food items like Ham, Fries, Hot Dogs, and Pizza from the Food Merchant. Feeding these to your Giant Brainrot causes it to transform into different, more powerful units.

Barbecue Grill

Unlock this for $50 million. It generates passive income every second. Leveling up the grill increases the dollars per second (e.g., Level 15 provides $120,000 per second). It is one of the most efficient ways to regain money after a rebirth.

Progression & Upgrades

To maximize your efficiency, focus on these upgrades:

  • Fishing Luck: Increases the chance of catching rarer, more valuable fish
  • Rods: Upgrade all your fishing rods to boost overall income. Use the "Upgrade All Rods" button to maximize the fishing speed of your entire base simultaneously
  • Conveyor Belt: Improve this to get access to higher-tier eggs and reduce egg spawn timers
  • More Slots: Additional brainrot capacity - more brainrots = more income
  • Offline Boost: Increases offline earnings cap (maxes out after about 4 hours)
